That’s a wrap! Youth work and financial education highlights of 2025

Since 2015, Deutsche Börse Commodities has been supporting the local children’s and youth foundation Die Arche with regular financial donations and events. The 2025 donations to Die Arche amounted to €6,000, which included financial support as well as an afternoon spent together with the Deutsche Börse Commodities Team on World Children’s Day and a finance workshop led by the “Schulgold” project initiative, with a delicious lunch on both days.

Four finance workshops for children and adolescents

In 2025, Deutsche Börse Commodities, the issuer of Xetra-Gold®, sponsored the Schulgold project with approximately €5,000, thereby giving around 100 young people the opportunity to attend one of their workshops. With the participation of the two managing directors of Deutsche Börse Commodities and their closest colleagues, four finance workshops were held at different locations. The objective: to teach young people the basics of financial independence. Due to the impressive workshop quality and relevance of the topics covered, further project days are already planned for 2026, both for Die Arche and the Schulgold project.

Financial literacy, practical and age-appropriate

The interactive Schulgold workshops raise awareness among children and adolescents about financial issues often neglected in everyday life and school. They address commonplace financial challenges and have already reached thousands of schoolchildren. In terms of content, they cover budget planning and saving and aim to sharpen participants’ understanding of taxes and social security contributions, overdraft and installment purchases.

Positive social and environmental impact

Its commitment to financial education projects, especially among children, teenagers, and young adults, represents an important contribution by Deutsche Börse Commodities in terms of ESG. In pursuit of its environmental standards, Deutsche Börse Commodities will once again offset 100 percent of its greenhouse gas emissions, which are mainly generated during the transport of gold, via a German reforestation project.
